Erin & Richard’s wedding day at San Antonio Botanical Gardens was nothing short of timeless and full of emotion. The day started in the heart of downtown San Antonio at the iconic St. Anthony Hotel—one of the best hotels for getting ready. With its historic charm, tall windows, and breathtaking chandeliers, it was the perfect backdrop for the calm, joyful anticipation of the day.
Surrounded by her stunning bridesmaids, Erin got ready in a softly lit suite filled with laughter, champagne, and all the best kind of nerves. One of my favorite moments from the morning was when she surprised both her mom and mother-in-law with heartfelt gifts—quiet, emotional moments that I feel so honored to capture.
As Erin stepped into her dress, the room fell quiet for just a moment. It was one of those still, beautiful pauses before everything sets into motion. Her bridesmaids waited eagerly downstairs in the hotel lobby, where we planned a special bridal reveal. And let me tell you, their reactions did not disappoint—there were gasps, tears, and so much joy as they saw Erin as a bride for the first time.
We took a few portraits right after in the St. Anthony’s lobby. With its classic design and luxurious chandelier, it made for the dreamiest bridal shots. Honestly, this hotel is a hidden gem for any couple wanting both elegance and convenience on their wedding day.
The ceremony at St. Peter Prince of the Apostle Church was deeply emotional and full of reverence. As the music swelled, Erin walked down the aisle, arm-in-arm with her dad, and all eyes turned to her—including Richard’s. His reaction was everything you hope for in a groom: overwhelmed, teary-eyed, and completely in awe.
The two exchanged heartfelt vows in front of their closest family and friends. They said “I do,” sealed it with a joyful first kiss, and walked back down the aisle—this time as husband and wife. It was such a sweet, meaningful ceremony that truly set the tone for the rest of the day.
The celebration continued as Erin and Richard hopped on a charter bus with their wedding party, headed toward the San Antonio Botanical Garden for more photos and the reception. Spirits were high, music was playing, and you could feel the excitement for what was to come.
Now, if you were in San Antonio that day, you might remember—it was one of the windiest days of the year. Hair was flying, veils were barely holding on, but everyone rolled with it like total champs. We moved quickly and knocked out bridal party and family portraits right away so Erin and Richard could make the most of their cocktail hour.
Despite the wind, we captured some truly stunning bride & groom portraits in the gardens. The movement in Erin’s dress, the wind through her veil, and the way Richard held her close—it all made for magic.
After portraits at the garden, Erin & Richard joined their guests just in time for cocktail hour. The energy was already electric, and it only grew from there. As the sun dipped lower, the evening transitioned into one unforgettable reception celebration under the stars.
With a live band setting the tone, the night kicked off with toasts, laughter, and so many moments of genuine connection. You could feel how loved Erin and Richard were by every single person in the room.
And then… the party really started.
Not only did these two hit the dance floor with full hearts—they crowd-surfed their way into the night. Yes, both Erin and Richard were lifted by their guests, arms in the air, full of pure joy. It was one of the wildest and most fun reception moments I’ve ever witnessed—and such a reflection of their fun-loving personalities and the joy they bring to everyone around them.
With the live band keeping the energy high all night long, there was barely a moment when the dance floor wasn’t packed. Every guest, from grandparents to flower girls, joined in on the fun. It was the kind of reception people talk about for years after.
To close out the night, Erin & Richard exited through a sea of bubbles—surrounded by cheers, hugs, and happy tears. It was the perfect, playful ending to a day that balanced elegance, emotion, and joy in the best way.
