My fascination with time isn't quite the same as my husband's (he loves to collect watches). Meanwhile, I'm deeply moved by the passage of time. There's something profound about knowing that every moment, every single one, is happening for the first and last time.

And that's exactly why I photograph: to steal those moments from time. I want to be the person who's there when it happens. The glance, the tear, the laugh that catches everyone off guard. The quiet seconds that pass so fast you almost miss them. It's how my couples are able to say, "We remember it like it was yesterday."
