An elegant backyard wedding celebrating San Antonio’s most beloved florist, Ale from Petale Haus, and Mayhew Farms owner Nathan was nothing short of magical. Romantic, garden-inspired, and deeply personal, their intimate celebration with fewer than 30 guests took place on their family’s ranch, where every detail reflected their shared love for nature, color, and intention.
They exchanged vows on a handcrafted wooden stage, encircled by a breathtaking 360° flower meadow in soft, seasonal shades of lavender, peach, and green. Their vision was to create the feeling that the garden had gently grown around them—organic, whimsical, and meaningful. Every bloom told a story.
Their color palette held deep sentimental value: lavender has been Ale’s favorite since childhood, green is her favorite now, and peach radiated beautifully against their sun-kissed, farmer-tanned skin. The floral design was a true labor of love, carefully planned a year in advance and brought to life with blooms they grew themselves, including Ale’s favorite ‘Queeny Lime Blush’ zinnias and delicate lavender cosmos featured in the centerpieces.
This wedding was more than a celebration. It was a living, breathing expression of who they are, rooted in love, built from the ground up, and blooming with purpose.
